Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Launched in Nepal

After a while, Samsung is getting back into Tablets with its latest launch in Nepal, The all-new Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. As the name suggests it is the Lite version of the Tab S6 which I think was the best tablet that Samsung has ever made. Compared to all other tablets from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S6 is the best tablet so far and looking at the specs and overall information of the S6 lite, it is also following the same footsteps but limiting itself in a budget.

Talking about where the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite sits, I think it can be used as an entry-level tablet. If you are looking to get a tablet but are not sure which to get, I believe you can definitely try out the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Enough rambling let’s talk specs on this thing,

Display

The main thing to talk about in this device, the Display. Most of us had the same question, is it going to feature the same display as the Tab S6? Unfortunately, No. They had to cut some corners to make the device more affordable as it is supposed to be the lite version of the actual main thing.

Instead they used a cheap 10.4-inch display with TFT capacitive technology with the base resolution of 1200×1200 pixels. Although, it is not an OLED screen but it will do the job. With the removable of an OLED screen, we also don’t get to see the in-screen finger print scanner.

S Pen

The best thing that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 could feature is the S Pen. I am so glad that they still gave us the S Pen with the Tab S6 too. It was first featured with the Galaxy Tab S6 which was also the first time that samsung ever used their S Pen outside of their Note line-up phones and they didn’t cut it on this one too. I feel like Samsung made a great move bringing the S Pen to their Tablet series. S Pen would be more affective and useful with Tabs than most of the phones.

With all the budget cuts that Samsung was doing to make this device affordable but still adding the S Pen definitely one-ups my expectations. Plus, the device features a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features a 8MP wide angle rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. Both cameras are capable of recording 1080P videos. I think this camera setup is OK for a tablet as we won’t be doing much photography with a tablet as off of a smartphone. But if you do and are interested doing photography with the Tablet than it has got a decent camera setup.

Mind you, this camera setup is not that latest and high end like you get in some of Samsung’s smartphones but it is good enough for you to try out some photography with it.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has a Lithium Polymer Non-Removeable 7040 mAh battery with 15W fast charging capability. Samsung says the battery should last about 1 and a half days of usage. The battery looks great on paper but the main problem might be the 15W fast charger. Having a battery that huge and using a 15W battery might give the users a longer wait time to charge the device fully.

The battery capacity is great on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and it can also be optimized and pushed for 2 full days of usage. And Samsung’s new One UI is also not that battery consuming and runs really great as seen on other Samsung smartphones. Despite all the questions, Samsung fitting a 7040 mAh battery and still not compromising the stealth of the device is a great job form them.

Price and Availability

Currently, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite cost around Rs. 53,000 for the 4/64 GB variant. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is said to hit the official Samsung Stores on 27th July, 2020. It is a good price compared to what you are getting with the tablet. A great battery, decent camera and display and not to forget the 3.5mm headphone jack. This I great if you are on the market looking for an Android Tablet.

Bottom Line

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 did really great and some amazing features too and the Tab S6 lite is also following the same footsteps but it is a lite version of the Tab S6 and we definitely can’t compare it to the Tab S6 itself. But it truly maintains its boundaries really good. There are some of the features that are on the Tab S6 which can also be seen on the Tab S6 lite along with features being removed to make the device affordable.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is an entry-level android tablet if you are looking for one on the market right now. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will definitely give us and experience and the feel that we get whenever using a high-end tablet. The main question is Can it be a replacement for an iPad? I think iPads are way ahead on the Tablet game.

Looking at the recent iPads, I can comfortable say they can be a replacement for laptops too. But I am not saying that Samsung is far behind. Samsung is also doing great as we say with the Galaxy Tab S6. It did wonders but still Samsung need to improve a whole lot to their tablet line-ups.

So, these were our takes on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Overall, it is a great device for the price considering what it has to offer. But the main question is Will it replace the iPad? And If you like such type of content than you should check our website The Technomatics.
